Our story
Turned on the lathe in Channapatna, Karnataka.
Channapatna has made wooden toys for more than 200 years. Our workshop sits in the artisans' cluster on B.M. Road, where each toy is turned from soft hale wood and polished with lac and vegetable dyes.
We started Khel Khilona to keep that craft alive, and to give children toys that are safe to chew, drop and pass down. Every design is BIS-certified to IS 9873 and tested for small parts.
Alongside our wooden toys we pick puzzles, art supplies and stationery that meet the same bar: no plastic where wood will do, and no paint we wouldn't let our own children put in their mouths.
